Our Purpose
Mount Zion Weekday Preschool is one of the ongoing educational ministries of Mount Zion Baptist Church. The Bible says “teach your children to choose the right path, and when they are older, they will remain upon it.”
Our program is designed to help your child develop intellectually, emotionally, physically, socially, and spiritually. We will strive to provide a stimulating environment in which your child can have a happy and meaningful preschool experience in a distinctively Christian atmosphere.
Our Curriculum
Mount Zion Weekday Preschool is one of the ongoing educational ministries of Mount Zion Baptist Church. The Bible says “teach your children to choose the right path, and when they are older, they will remain upon it.”
Our program is designed to help your child develop intellectually, emotionally, physically, socially, and spiritually. We will strive to provide a stimulating environment in which your child can have a happy and meaningful preschool experience in a distinctively Christian atmosphere.
Our Faculty
Our teachers are Christians who are well trained and experienced in early childhood education. We are members of several preschool associations and our teachers are required to attend continuing education classes during the year at recognized institutions, under qualified instructors.
Our Facilities
All of our classrooms have the needed furnishings and recommended space suitable for each age level. Restroom facilities are available in each classroom. We have a playground with fun, colorful play structures that are age and developmentally appropriate for preschoolers. Our Christian Life Center is available for special activities as well as playtime on rainy/cold days.
After School Enrichment
“Footsteps in Faith”- Creative Movement, Tap and Ballet (3’s and 4’s)
“Fun and Fitness”- game/physical activity program (3‘s and 4’s)
Our curriculum offers fun, ”learn as you play” activities for children 15 months through four years. It focuses on skills and abilities that are developing naturally at each age level. We provide “hands on” learning experiences in a loving environment. Bible heroes are included in our curriculum as well as Chapel times each month. All classes enjoy Music and Movement classes which develop a love and appreciation of music. Each four year class has a computer and offers the opportunity to learn basic computer skills and enjoy age appropriate programs emphasizing language arts, math and reading readiness.
Hours/School Calendar
Our hours are 9:30am to 1:30pm. The school year begins Tuesday after Labor Day and ends the week before Gwinnett County School ends. Our school year will correspond to the Gwinnett County School calendar observing the same holidays and school closings for inclement weather.
